Autism Early Intensive Intervention Program

Canning Vale Education Support Centre offers an early, intensive intervention program for Kindergarten and Pre-Primary aged children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our program has been successfully operating since 2006 with highly qualified and experienced staff. Our program uses teaching strategies to differentiate for individuals according to the science of behaviour and the latest research of evidence- based pedagogy for students with Autism. We strive to be a neurodiversity-affirming learning environment with a program designed according to the student’s unique strengths and challenges.

This is a two year program , aimed to prepare students for a full time mainstream education in Year 1 at their local government school. The students attend Kindergarten at Canning Vale Education Support Centre for two and half days per week (Monday, Wednesday and a half day Friday, each week). For their Pre-Primary year, they attend Canning Vale Education Support Centre for two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) and attend the other three days at their local government primary school.

Enrolment places are very limited into this program. Enrolment interviews and assessments take place in Term 3 of the year prior to starting Kindergarten.
